Shared Leadership and Faithful Stewardship
Obong Missions is led through a partnership of Nigerian and U.S. leaders who share a commitment to Gospel-centered service, responsible stewardship, and long-term ministry impact. In Nigeria, the Dr. Moses Akpanudo Foundation Board provides local oversight and helps guide the ministries closest to the daily work. In the United States, the Alvaton Church of Christ elders provide spiritual oversight, while the U.S. Advancement Board and Support Team help raise awareness, strengthen donor relationships, and steward resources faithfully.
Together, these leaders support the schools, university, hospital, food relief, and church planting ministries as one mission serving in the name of Christ.
This shared leadership structure helps ensure that Obong Missions remains locally rooted, spiritually grounded, and faithfully stewarded across both Nigeria and the United States.
The Alvaton Church of Christ Elders
As the sponsoring congregation for Obong Missions in the United States, the Alvaton Church of Christ in Alvaton, Kentucky, provides spiritual oversight and financial accountability for funds raised in support of the mission. Their leadership helps ensure that gifts are handled with integrity and directed faithfully toward Gospel-centered work in Nigeria.

The U.S. Advancement Board

Their work strengthens the connection between U.S. partners and the ministries in Nigeria, helping resources be raised and stewarded with care.

Through boards, administrators, ministry directors, teachers, medical staff, and church leaders, the mission remains locally rooted and faithfully served on the ground in Nigeria.
