Peter S. Egure, OON, MNI

Chancellor

Barrister  Peter S. Egure attended St. John’s Anglican Primary School, Uffah Quarters in Igarra and the Anglican Modern School also in Igarra.  He proceeded to the renowned University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos where he earned his first degree in History. Thereafter he returned to the same University where he was admitted to the School of Law and later graduated with an LLB (Hons).  He was appointed to the Nigerian Bar in 1992.  Barrister P. S. Egure is an alumnus of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos in Plateau State since 1994.

During his long and productive career, Mr. Egure has held a number of prestigious positions including State Director of Security, Lagos State, Director, Intelligence, Research and Estimates, National Headquarters, Director, Training National Headquarters, Director, Intelligence, Research and Estimates at National Headquarters, and Director, Finance & Supplies, General Services Office, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, The Presidency.

Mr. Egure completed a variety of impressive special assignments and has served on the Special Federal Government Teams variously sent to Zambia, Botswana, Swaziland, Mozambique and Kenya prior to the Zimbabwean and South African Independence.  He served as a member of the Nigerian Delegation to Commonwealth Security Conferences in both in Wellington, New Zealand and Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia.

Udoudo Ekanemesang, Ph.D.

Vice Chancellor

Professor Udoudo Moses Ekanemesang is a distinguished biochemist with over 40 years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience spanning Nigeria and the United States. He earned degrees from top U.S. institutions—including a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee and an MPH from Mercer University School of Medicine. His expertise in enzymology, protein chemistry, and molecular biology is matched by his record of securing millions in research funding as a senior scientist at Clark Atlanta University.

Professor Ekanemesang has taught and held leadership roles at respected institutions including the University of Calabar, University of Oklahoma, Spelman College, and Clark Atlanta University. He has served as a consultant to U.S. agencies such as the EPA, DOE, and DOD.

Since 2015, he has served as Vice-Chancellor of Obong University, where his visionary leadership has transformed the university into a growing center of academic and spiritual excellence, grounded in Christian values.
